The Roman game project is based on upgrading. In the years 2008 – 2012, we prepared the basis for the dissemination of stories and events, both qualitatively and temporally. In 2016, we opened our new location in Štuki and called it Roman Camp Poetovio, which is an innovative project depicting life in ancient Rome. The replica of the Roman brick kiln is unique in this part of Europe and is the basis for experimental archeology, which we carry out in collaboration with experts.
In 2012, the V Roman Games were the biggest summer project of the partner city of Ptuj in the European Capital of Culture project.
Symposia and meetings help establish the archaeological department, which is an extension of the university. With this, we acquire students who research and discover new knowledge and findings throughout the year.
